Webster was incorporated on February 12, 1976 as a nonprofit sheltered workshop by parents in Jackson, Macon and Swain counties whose disabled adult sons and daughters needed specialized training and developmental programs that would enable them to be active participants in their communities. From our humble beginnings in an old schoolhouse in Webster, North Carolina to its current home in a state-of-the-art production facility, we have become one of the state’s leading vocational rehabilitation and developmental training programs.
Today, we produce disposable medical devices and commercial sewing services for a broad range of customers, from global medical suppliers to home decor retailers. We have 12,000 square feet of production and warehousing space, including an FDA-compliant and contaminant-controlled production floor. Our products meet strict quality-control standards and 97 percent meet on-time delivery.
